What Does Your Future Sound Like?

Overview

Throughout early 2021 on behalf of CLIP I worked with pupils from The Gilberd School, Philip Morant School and Colchester Sixth Form to introduce them to field recording and sampling. Over a series of workshops, the young musicians composed soundscapes in response to the question “What does your future sound like?”

The installation showcases these compositions played on a range of audio devices, with each featuring the word the students chose to describe their future soundscape.
